DEKA was founded in
1991 as a spin-off of the El.En. company. DEKA immediately became a leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of laser devices for the medical market which was rapidly growing and stirring great interest since the early ‘80s.
1981 Inception
The ‘80s Production of CO2 laser systems for dermatology, surgery and therapy.
The ‘90s Production of Nd:YAG laser systems for dentistry and minimally invasive treatment of pathologies in the oncological field.
The ‘90s Studies on lasers for therapy which gave rise to the High Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT) invention.
1998 World-wide launch of the first long pulse Nd:YAG laser system.
1999 Patenting of the Smartlipo system for Laserlipolysis.
2001 Introduction of the first pulsed light system with patented UPL technology.
2001 Presentation of the Smartbleach © teeth whitening system.
2002 Launch of the first MEL@308nm source with the Excilite system.
2004 Development of the first fractioned CO2 SmartXide system for DOT Therapy.
2009 Presentation of the Triactive Plus system and the new V2LR method (Vulvo-Vaginal Laser Reshaping).
2010 Presentation of the first combined CO2 laser and RF source.
Thirty years later, DEKA is now the leading medical company of a large high-tech industrial group operating in the opto-electronic sector producing, with its own technology and multidisciplinary laser source know-how, innovative laser systems for a plethora of different applications.
