Histological studies that we conducted on the vaginal mucosa, in women suffering from atrophic conditions, show that the MonaLisa Touch® treatment with SmartXide2 V2LR restores the mucosa to a pre-menopausal condition, as would occur after an oestrogen hormone replacement treatment. This particular laser system stimulates the epithelial surface and the connective tissue, through a physical medium rather than using drugs, basically making the vaginal mucosa younger.
