Laserlipolysis

Description

Laserlipolisi® is an innovative, minimally invasive technique specially designed to remove excess fatty tissue via selective interaction of a laser beam with the fat cells (adipocytes).

With Laserlipolisi® treatment, the laser light is conveyed by micro-cannules of a diameter of 1mm or 1.4mm carrying an optic fibre of 300 µm or 600 µm. The special pulse emitted, characterised by a high peak power released at very short intervals, denatures and breaks the adipocyte membranes, enabling drainage of the cellular content, a low-viscosity, oily solution (lysate) that is eliminated physiologically, or can be easily removed with a low-pressure micro-pump or simple syringes.

Laserlipolisi® can also be combined with the traditional liposuction and liposculpture techniques, especially when treating large areas.

The technique is based on an innovative laser specifically designed for this purpose. The Smartlipo® system exploits a Nd:YAG laser that emits special, extremely short pulses and very high power peaks, thus enabling selective targeting of fat cells without any overheating of the surrounding tissues. This ensures efficacious and safe treatments while simultaneously reducing post-operation recovery times to a minimum.
